Peyman Hamdollahi, who was previously sentenced to death for deliberate murder, arrested in Borujerd during a quarrel and was executed in central prison of Bandar Abbas after 5 years imprisonment at morning of yesterday. The execution has not yet been announced by Iranian media
According to Human Rights of Kurdistan of Iran; Thursday, 2019 July 25; according to Iran Human Rights Organization, on the morning of Wednesday, July 24th, the execution of a prisoner was carried out at Bandar Abbas Central Prison. The identity of the executed prisoner who was sentenced to death on charges of “deliberate murder” has been announced as “Peyman Hamdollahi Borujerdi” from Borujerd.
An informed source about the prisoner told Iran Human Rights Organization: « Peyman was arrested in 2014 on charges of deliberate murder. The family of the murdered was supposed to receive400 million tomans for pardon, but unfortunately the money did not provided enough and the execution carried out. »
The execution of this prisoner has not been announced by the media inside Iran until the moment.
In the first six months of 2019, at least 110 executions were done in various prisons in Iran or in public, 83 of which were executed on charges of “murder.” During this time, Iran’s media outlets only announced 37 executions, while 73 others were confirmed by the Iran Human Rights Organization.
Non-grading for deliberate murder in Iran makes any kind of murder, regardless of the intensity and motive of the murderer, leads to the issuance of the death sentence.
