4 prisoners detained in Rajaei-shahr prison of Karaj who were sentenced to death on charges of “murder” and “pederasty”, were hanged today at morning.
According to Human Rights of Kurdistan of Iran; Wednesday, 2019 July 17; According to the Iran Human Rights Organization, on the morning of July 17, four prisoners were executed in Rajaei-shahr prison of Karaj. The prisoners were transferred to a solitary cell in a group of six persons, on the Saturday morning of July 13.
The identity of one of the executed prisoners who was senteces to death for “pederasty” was, Ali (known as Ali Lavashak), from cell 5. The identity of three other prisoners who were sentenced to death for murder were “Yousef Gholizadeh” from cell 1, “Hadi Asafkhani” from cell 10 and “Akbar Sabaghzadeh” from cell 6.
Until the time of setting this news, none of these executions has been announced by a media inside Iran.
It should be noted that, during the past three days, 10 prisoners including 2 women, were executed in Urmia, Khondab (Markazi province), Nowshahr, Mahshahr and Mahabad. The execution in Khondab was in public. Only 3 of these executions were announced by the official sources and the media.
In the first six months of 2019, at least 110 executions were done in various prisons in Iran or in public, 83 of which were executed on charges of “murder.” During this time, Iran’s media outlets only announced 37 executions, while 73 others were confirmed by the Iran Human Rights Organization.
Non-grading for deliberate murder in Iran makes any kind of murder, regardless of the intensity and motive of the murderer, leads to the issuance of the death sentence.
