According to Human Rights of Kurdistan of Iran, Monday, 2019 June 24, Iran Human Rights Organization, Reacted to the transfer of political prisoner “Barzan Mohammadi” to Evin Prison and said: A news release was issued that “Barzan Mohammadi” is no longer the political prisoner of this prison and the witness of the murder have been transferred to Evin Prison. But this was denied by one of his close relatives.
This source said that the news of transferring was wrong and added: «Bazan’s Psychological condition was bad after his friend’s death and he was interrogated for a week because of the exposing. “Barzan” had been cleaned all the blood shed from “Alireza” from the bed and cell for three days ».
“Barzan Mohammadi” was arrested during the general protests of August 2017 due to his activity in cyberspace. The 41-year-old citizen from Sarvabad, Kurdistan, was sentenced to six years in prison for “Trying to disturb national security” and “propaganda against the regime”. Barzan Mohammadi’s Appeal Court was held on 2019 February 25 and was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months imprisonment.
“Soheyl Arabi”, another political prisoner of Fishafvyh prison, went on hunger strike on Saturday, 2019 June 15, against “violent behaviors,” “the spread of the use of various types of drugs,” “inappropriate conditions of cells,” “torture by agents,” “non-compliance with the principle of separation of offenses” and “deprivation of the right to treatment”. His physical condition is reported to be serious.
In April of this year, “Soheil Arabi” was beaten up after defending several non-political prisoners who were beaten up by the guards and suffered serious injury in the left testicle area. After this injury, various reports about his deprivation of treatment were published.
“Soheyl Arabi” is a protest photographer and blogger and was arrested for his writings in cyberspace, such as Facebook, by Sarallah Corps, along with his wife in November 2013. He was sentenced to death on charge of insulting the Prophet, which eventually turned into seven-and-a-half year imprisonment and two years of religious research (to prove regret) and two years being banned from leaving the country after release.
He was also sentenced to 3 years in jail on charges of “insulting Ali Khamenei, leader of the Islamic Republic” and “propaganda against the regime” in Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court under the chairmanship of Judge “Abolqasem Salavati”. The verdict was also approved shortly by Branch 54 of the Appeals Court.
